Hey fellas! New member here

Hey guys,
I have always viewed many helpful post throughout the months in deciding whether or not I should buy a T4R or not. Well this shows I am definitely a big fan of my T4R. I purchased my first T4R a few days ago, sept 22,2014! I am super excited to start working on my truck. I have always been into modifying cars, and now i am transitioning to trucks/SUV.

I purchased my 2004 T4R with only 64,000miles owned by an old couple. This truck looks like it was very well taken care of. All service paper work were kept, carfax displayed a clean title and all. I have been looking endlessly for a 4x4, but unfortunately due to my car situation I was in a bit of a time crunch. The T4R that I have purchased is sadly not a 4x4.... but I did purchase it due to its well maintained owners and its condition for a 10 year old SUV. It is completely stock. V6 SR5 is what it is. I am kind of bummed that again its not a 4x4. Maybe you guys can enlighten me on the plus side of my purchase haha and display any other options I can do to have some fun with this truck!

2wd doesn't necessarily mean no fun. I had a 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport that was only 2wd and could still have fun with it. Sure you can't go everywhere, but you'll be surprised as to how far you can go with good tires and some brain power. A prerunner build would also be pretty darn sweet.

If you plan on doing a little off roading, get some decent tires and you'll be surprised on what it can do with just 2wd.

Welcome man! I'm right there with you and the 2WD "issue". There are plenty of guys on here with modded 2WD's, so don't worry. At the end of the day it's still a Toyota!
