Falls: Honestly I'm not super impressed with the Titan like I thought I would be. Going from a Toyota to a Nissan is tough to do without constantly picking the Nissan apart with little things. For example, when you close the door of the 4Runner you get that "wump" sound. Not with the Titan, just kind of clangs. The interior of the Titan is the most bland, cheapest thing I've seen in all the newer trucks. I'm not sure what material the seats are but if you spill water on them or if rain gets on them you get what looks like grease stains on them.
The ride quality of the Titan is VERY stiff, you feel everything. It also has the turning radius of a dump truck so if your parking in a small lot expect a 3-point turn to get into a space
. It's the heaviest 1/2 ton truck on the market (next to the new Tundra *drool*) and that shows with tire wear. Mine wore through tires a bit faster due to the weight of the trailers I was towing though.
Don't get me wrong now, I'm not bashing the Titan, I really do like a lot of things about it. I love the aggressive look of it and the chrome accents really go well with the red color I have. The stiff ride is due to the awesome suspension system it has so it can tow 9,500+ lbs. The power of the thing is amazing and the roar of that 5.6 to back it up really makes you feel like a man driving through a small town with the exhaust note bouncing off the buildings. The interior is absolutely HUGE with no shortage of compartments. I got the Crew Cab (4-door) and have fit two 6' males back there with room to spare. Since I had the extra doors I only have a 5 1/2' bed which you can't do a whole lot with but my Polaris 700 Sportsman still fit back there with the tailgate down. Because it has so much power and is so responsive the rear tires break loose very easily in the rain, way worse in the snow. I have the Revos on that as well and it is pretty crappy in the snow even in 4wd without some added weight in the bed.
Overall, I love the Titan but being used to the quality and durability of a Toyota I missed it and wanted it back
:. I really believe now that once you own a Toyota (or Lexus) you may "try out" other brands but you'll always go back to the best! (not counting the G-Wagon, Thai :biggrin2: )
