Hey Look. A new 4Runner owner!

Hello everyone. Well this is my first post on a new account. I have been researching this website for a few weeks before I made the decision to buy and I learned alot. So now that I have picked up my 4Runner I wanted to show it off.

Its a 1997 Limited 4x4 fully loaded with all the goodies. Only 78k
And if what I have been reading is correct, I hope to get her to 300k.

I tried to find a 96-01 4x4 with low miles and a manual transmission but that was nearly impossible. So I settled for an automatic. Incidently my first vehicle with an auto. But I am liking it so far.

Thanks for the welcome. I had to convince my girlfriend about the color but when she saw it in real life she fell in love with it too.

I dont have any major plans for her just yet. I scored some OEM floormats off the net for $50 bucks new. Dont plan on lifting it. I'll prob read around here a bit to get some ideas as far as what to do but I am happy with her the way she is now.

Yes, I do have the rear diff lock.

Another quick question. The truck came with a factory Toyota alarm. I have the owners manual and I can see the light mounted near the rear window switch. Only issue is that I do not have the the actual alarm/keyless entry remote for the key. The alarm is VIT (Vehicle Intrusion Protection) Toyota model. Anyone know where I can get a new alarm unit for relativly cheap? And how much to reprogram? I appreciate the help.

there will be a button on the left of the steering wheel that says diff lock.

BTW: Where did you find OEM mats new for $50.00? I have seen them on eBay for $70.00 plus s&h.

On your keyless entry issue, I had the same problem when I bought my 2000. You can just go on ebay and buy a keyless entry for around 35 shipped. Make sure it comes with programing instructions. The programing is easy and takes less than 5 min.
