The 3.5 ton Arcans from Costco or Northern Tool are the best deal I think, the are often on sale for $100. I don't trust Harbor Freight for anything where safety is involved.

You should never rely on just a floor jack to hold your t4r up if you are working under it.

I don't I have four 6-ton stands from Northern Tool too, with the extra cross bar safeties. But I leave the floor jack underneath as a back up. And if that fails I usually have the wheels under there too.

the $179 Daytona floor jack at Harbor Freight is awesome, i have 3 of them.
Well worth the money.
