Hello all, great forum! Looking forward to purchasing my first 4runner and dumping my 03 Disco. The englush just can't build cars, 50K miles and it's falling apart. Great offroader, but I bet the 4r will pwn

might as well let you know where I am in the search...

I am torn between waiting for the g5's or getting a good deal on a 2008/2009. My only requirements are 4x4, leather and navigation, which typically puts me in the Limited trim for the most part. v8/v6 does not make much of a difference, although I have never driven the v6. MY wife has a lexus RX that hauls ass with a v6. Soes the v8 really pack that much more punch? I understand 2010 will not offer a v6 as well.

I have been looking on autrader and cars.com and have come up with this:

Welcome to the board. I would wait for the newest model to come out. On the other hand, you can never go wrong when buying a 4Runner.

What year RX does your wife have?

Welcome to the club man! If I can suggest anything, go down to the CarMax in Laurel. Where I bought mine. You should be able to compare new and old side by side in the next few weeks. They should have one of the largest selections of T4R's in the region and will most likely be one of the first to get 5th gens.
