Hi to everyone been looking for a replacement of my 97 SR5

Hi new to forum but not T4R.. I’m on my third and looking for my fourth I have a 97 with over 256k on it. I use it as my primary vehicle on back roads and HI ways. No off Roading . I thought the multi transfer case be nice to have but had some trouble I using it. I drove a 2001 and had difficulty in getting {back to 2wd I had to put car in park to get the flashing display off (The 2001 has the diff lock button on the dash plus the 4wd button on shifter}

Tomorrow I’m looking at a 2000 limited that has the multi transfer case. I been thinking that full time as well as part time be nice to have. But if it does not go in or out of 4wd easily then maybe not worth it. Anyhow what I want to know if you can you go out of 4wdH or 4wdHL on the fly w/o . stopping? do you have to unlock the diff. before going back to 2wd.? Just trying to find the right way of doing it ? .otherwise ill stick to the older transfer case that im used to.:wave:

that 2001 has been sitting and owner said she never used 4wd. i drove the he 2000 limited and 4wd shift very nice but ill go back and look at 2001 again :flypig:

I just bought a 2008 to replace my 1996 as a daily driver. Going to fix up the 1996 to do stupid stuff with. That way when I break it I can still get to work!
