HID conversion & Xenon Depot

For those of you that have dealt with them and their products, How are they? The price just seems too cheap..... less than $300 for an h4 HID conversion? I thought this kind of thing was more along the lines of $800 for some reason.
Anyone have some pics of their stuff? In box, out of box, pre install, post install etc...

This might be on my xmas list.

I read that guys write up a while back and went to xenon depot to check it out but they dont sell the phillips H11 kit anymore. I did a search and found it at xenonpros.com and it was $350 or so which was more than the H11 kit on xenon depot and like you I was worried about the quality of the xenon depot kit since the price was so low. I think phillips is a good brand so Im going with xenon pros.
 
I bought three kits from Xenon Depot, two for my cars and one for someone else, all were Philips components. I had nothing but a positive experience from XD and it's why I went back to them the second and third time around. The kit is nothing short of excellent quality. The later kits come with mounting brackets for the ballasts and two seperate wiring harness that utilizes both OEM headlight sockets.

The XD kit used Philip components. Their current Xtreme kit uses Asian made components and thus prices are cheaper than the XD kit with Philips components.

FYI, I'm not affiliated with XD or work for nor do I know anyone who does. I will mention kind words for any business that knows how to conduct it.
 
Like Uneek, i've purchased 3 kits from xenon depot. my first kit was the philips h7 kit for my passat and my next 2 (Xtreme Kit) was for my 4Runner (low beams and driving lights).

They are very responsive and are very helpful if you have any questions. Also not affiliated with Xenon Depot just a happy customer.

i have also installed the kit for my low beams and i love it was one the best mods ive done and instillation was easy
 
I have never use the Xtreme kit, but I have a Mcculloch kit in my truck. I believe the Xtreme kit use asian bulb just like the Mcculloch kit. After driving around with the Mcculloch 5000K kit for 3 weeks, I was not happy at all with the light output, especially in the rain. I broke down and bought a set of Philips 4300K bulb, I am now running Philips bulbs with Mcculloch ballast The difference between the 2 bulbs are like night and day. I would say at least twice as bright. I know they are difference color temp, but even if the Mcculloch was 4300K and didnt have that tint on the bulb, I think the Phliips bulb is still much brighter. I am now one happy camper, another expensive lesson learned. If you want good light output, stick with Philips or Sylvania HID bulbs.
 
it is due to the color temp. the higher K the less intensity you will get. that's why all OEM hid car only use 4300k (4800k D4S in lexus now). even though 4300k turns out slightly yellow but that is the brightest intensity. 5000k or above will get you more blue/purple but also the lumen will decrease and you start losing brightness on the street.

:iagree: 6000k will give that nice blue look. lawwailok posted in another thread that 4300k is the way to go, given that he's tried both. I have 4300k in both cars, but after a while I wished I had gotten 6000k for the 4Runner, until I read his post (in another thread) and stopped second guessing. I'm told as time and use goes on, HIDs will get some blue to it.

Depending on how low the price gets with the Xtreme kit, I might splurge for a 3000k Xtreme kit for the fogs. But I don't use the fogs very much though. Hmmm...
 
i have a bi xenon h4 4300k hid kit for sale from xenon depot. that i bought a couple of weeks ago if anyone is interested. 200 bucks shipped. pm me if interested. works great. hardley used.
