HID install issue

I installed the xenon depot extreme hid kit, followed all the instructions and the install went smooth. I noticed this morning that my guage cluster is lit even though my lights are not on. Is this common? Everything was fine before the install. Thanks

I just got the 4Runner about 2 months ago, and I noticed that right away. I didn't install any HIDs or anything like that, and my gauge clusters are lit too. I'm assuming that's normal.

Did u make sure your dimmer knob is not all the way up??

It was at the usual setting it was prior to the HID install. Maybe this is how the 4runner is stock and I just never noticed it, as radekpok is implying. Seems like the bulbs would burn out a lot faster having it on during day time driving as well as night.

Your gauge cluster is always on. As soon as I turn the key in my truck, it lights up. Seems to be a standard feature as far as i know.

it is a standard, my truck has the same thing. Now I'm sure about that lol
