HID kit for '97 Limited

Hey guys - I'm tired of neglecting my truck as I have been paying too much attention to my Supra. It's time to spend some money on my truck!
Can someone direct me to a good HID kit for 97 headlights? This is just the start.

you wont ever need high beams again and i dont have a shield and no copper has ever said a thing and ive only had 2 people in the 6 months ive had them flash their brights at me.

Ive suggested this seller/brand to one other guy and he got his and installed them and they working great for him for the past 4 months.

They are a great price too. I bought mine for under $150 shipped.

the kits are plug and play and the first time i installed mine it took me and my cousin about 45 min to do it, but when i did it again with my buddy it took less than 30 min.

oh yea, the best part of having them is that they beat out any ricer blue bulbs and that flash you get when you first turn them on.
 
one more thing too, it doesnt matter which kit you buy, if it says dodge srt or chevy cobalt, in the auction after you BIN you let him know what bulb you need and what color you'd like.
 
Id still like to have high beams espcially when driving through the hill country in Texas at night. There doesn't seem to be a reliable kit that is dual beam.
 
so you guys are just putting the hid bulbs into the stock headlights on the '97 or are you upgrading to projctors or new headlights from newer 4runners?:confused:
 
you can stick them straight into a 97's headlights but it will look a hell of a lot better with the 99' and up headlight swap with out the frosted lens. I chose to do that.
 
Good stuff...Right now I have phillip balasts with 4300k bulbs that are in my supra. The supra uses H4 bulbs. The 4runner uses H3. I want to install this kit in the 4runner until I get another set.
How can I convert H3 plugs so they fit in the phillip balasts? I don't want to cut into the 4runner harness so i hope there's something.

O' and would the HID's run as a daytime running light with this set-up?

What shield are you talking about? I have a drop in kit now and it seems brighter than stock halogens, but nothing is better than HID retrofitted projectors. I've never heard or have seen a drop in kit with a "shield."

If you guys think your drop in kits are nice, try doing the complete retrofit. Nothing is better than that! The only downfall is the price.
 
hes talking about a casper shield which cuts down on glare you get out of them so their not so blinding. And also it makes HIDs legal then, technically its not legal to run HIDs with out a casper shield.
