HID kit recommendations

I'm just looking for a kit to fit my 9006 low beams and another kit to fit my 9006 fog lights. I've read that the cheap ebay kits are complete crap and not worth it. Anyone with HID experience can give me some good kit recommendation. And links would be nice Too :bravo:

Please for the sake of everyone please do not get 10k or even really any hids in your halogen housings.

Agreed.

Do a retrofit or get projector housings from an 06+ or aftermarkets like I have (till my retro is done)

You will be a huge D bag if you put HIDs in your stock housings. I did it for a week before deciding it was too much. And 10K looks silly if you ask me and you lose a lot of valuable light output.

Here's some light reading on HIDs.

not going to touch the hid in halogen headlamp debate.... ddm tuning sells decent hid kits. just giving the OP what he asked for.

I figured the lesson could be taught first, lol.

I've been running DDM's for a while without issues and recommend them as well.

I second the KBcarstuff.com reference. Quick shipping, great product and great prices. I used the volt 6000k for the H11 low beams and the volt 3000k for the 9006 fogs.

I'm also looking for 10000k. Do they not offer that from the retro fit source

10,000 is purple depending on the brand. WHY?

1) get a housing that has a projector lens.
2) get a DDM kit. They are great.
3) profit?

Get 4300K. They are the highest output of light. White to a whitish bluish tint.

The main thing is that you don't BLIND people. I ****ING HATE THAT.

I'm looking at the different kits. Do I need wire/relay harness to draw power from the battery. I have an 03 with stock headlights.

If you can't properly do a retrofit, why not try HIR bulbs? Lot of people swear by them. They are plug and play (you might have to slightly shave the fittings on the housing........... can't remember where I saw this), more expensive than ordinary bulbs, but great results. AND you won't be blinding anyone.

Can't do HIR bulbs? Start saving up for either one.

Good Luck
