HID Kit W/O HID Reflectors?

I've got a Phillips 4300K HID kit on the way from Xenon Depot (going into an '08 T4R) and, until now, hadn't ever considered changing the projectors.

Am I pissing in the wind by adding the HID kit W/O also changing the projectors?

Seems like the great majority of folks who do the HID kit are satisfied, I just want to make sure I'm doing it right the first time!

Remember...you have Halogen Projectors, not HID Projectors.

Hands down nothing beats a retrofit, but if you don't want to bother with the down time, money, or hassle of it, the kit is ok. The H11 bulb is very similar to an H7, just a different base. So as far as optics go, an H7 projector is as good as it gets to matching that of an HID.

actually 06+ T4R projectors are not that bad suited for HIDs, I would say its a safe go. They have good cut off and well focused when used with HID kit, definately improvemen over halogens. S2K or LS430 will kill it, but these are pricey and a lot of work. Phillips is a way to go, kit bulbs are no match
