HID kits and a warranty

I am thinking about going to the dealer for a couple issues im having with the 4runner and i have one of the Xenon Depot HID kits installed. Will i run into any issues having the kit on there if they happened to see it?

The kit rocks so i hate to remove the bulk of it but i can if thats nessisary. The way i see it since its just wired to the battery i see it more like adding some aftermarket driving or fog lights. It doesnt alter the car so i dont see where the issue may be. If anything its less stressful on the car than the factory setup.



On a side note... On the 4th gens when you turn on the defroster the button should light up correct? I dont notice mine working and the light doesnt light up. Thats one of the things i was going to get checked out.

Hi there~

Yes, your defroster should light up when pushed, whether your lights are on or off.

As for the lights having a HID kit. It is indeed an aftermarket component but will not void a warranty on items that are not attributed to the lighting system, such as your defroster. If you had lighting or electrical issues regarding our lighting, now that may be a different story.
