HID Question

Hey guys i just got a 07 sport. Started doing some small cheaper mods. Looking to put some HID's on it. I going back and forth from 4300k and 5000k. If the fog lights are projectors, is it pointless to HID in on fogs? Any suggestions/thoughts/comments? Best prices to purchase them from.
Thanks t4r.org

I'm not sure if the fogs are projectors, they look like projectors but I don't know if they are. I would go for 3500k for the foglight and do a retro fit if your headlights don't have projectors and use 5000k.

I have had sylvania silverstar ultras in some other cars. Nice and brighter than stock. Im looking for something very bright. Maybe slighlty blueish but not to blue. Does it makes a huge difference visiualy if the low beams and fogs are the same??

I you want blueish then go either 5500k or 6000k, 5000k is pure white, If you want the fogs to be helpful go for the 3500k which is yellow, higher than that is not going to be helpful if there is fog.

4300k & 5000k for headlights will give you the most lumin. Both will be more lumin then the silver star. Some folks even go to a 55w digital ballast setup (w/ proper bulbs) instead of the standard 35w to get extra lumin.

On my car I had 4300k both in the headlight and installed from projector driving lights. I liked the look. But in the winter I installed 3000k bulbs in the lower housings to have better definition in the snow, kept the 4300k in the headlights. It is all preference. I you want a little 'blue' get the 5000k.

On the 4runner I haven't done the hid upgraded yet. I need to order new housing, at that point I will do the 4300k 55w setup.

I have the HID's from DDM tuning. Cheap and an ezxcellent product.
I went with 5000k for the headlights (I have an 06 with factory projector housing) and 3000k for the fogs.

I have the 4300K kit from TRS, and absolutely love it. I run it in my stock projectors, and am happy with the cutoff. The 6000K kit was too blue for me, the 4300K kit is the color that BMW's come with stock. I run 4300K in both my cars.

I currently have 5000K because I wanted to have more of a white look. On the fringes though you can still see the blue hue coming from the projection headlights. I should probably change my cutoffs but there have been more important things to mess with plus I don't feel like popping my headlights apart. Also I have LEDs in my fogs to match the HIDs. The LEDs have plenty of output, seeing how they don't exactly have to go too far. Got mine from xenon depot and have been pretty happy with the product. I had to replace one bulb which wasn't bad and have had them in there for close to 7 years now.
