HID Xenon Bulbs, how good are they?

Hey guys, i'm not really in the mood to put down the cash to purchase a full HID conversion kit, so i found these really cool HID bulbs on eBay. Apparently, all you have to do is remove the stock bulbs, and replace them with these.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of HID bulb? What do you recommend?

those bulbs are not HIDs, they just give the color of an HID kit but limit the light output emitted on the road alot. I tried a pair a while back that i got from autozone that looked just like this and it was terrible. I currently have silverstars which are great but if u want the look of a HID and for a reasonable price then u should check out DDMtuning.com, i just ordered my kit yesterday.

I have tried those bulbs in Ebay that says HID bulbs. They are whiter and bluer..but nothing beats brighter halogen bulbs like Sylvania Sylverstars Ultra, Philips X-Treme Power, PIAAs, Osram Night Breaker and all those branded Bulbs. Also those bulbs claiming to be HIDs don't last long. It will loss 30 percent of its brightness in 2 months, leaving you with a blue output.
The reason, its HID looks is because they are Xenon Charged. Then their are reputable companies selling such bulbs like Eiko: Eiko-Ltd.com Products
and Philips CrystalVision 5,000K or Crystal Vision Ultras for HID look CrystalVision 5,000K
The brightest halogen is Philips X-Treme Power.

Thanks guys, i guess i better do it right the first time around instead of buying a cheap replacement. I'll check out some HID conversion kits.

i have DDM tuning's kit. they are really nice and have a lifetime warranty. i think the BiXenon hi/lo was about 70 shipped
