haha yeah without trying to offend anyone and getting into the theological aspects of this, it's just an interesting culture here for sure. I do love Utah and the people are awesome. I'm from Northern Nevada originally; I am also LDS, but i find it kind of interesting how there really isn't a huge range of auto-enthusiasm here. People are quite passionate about other things that probably make a bigger influence in society but as far as the gearheads come, there aren't that many, and when people look at my rig they wonder why i waste the time and money into it.
I've noticed a lot of people stick to tradition and the "norm" having absolutely no value on materialism. I can understand though, it's good to not obsess over something that depreciates, but personally I like my stuff, so I like to take care of it and some things, i do take pride in, because i earned them through hard work. It's like my trophy :trophy:
Anyway, I may be wrong, but I've lived in a few different states ranging from North Carolina, Minnesota, Nevada, and now Utah. They all have their cultures and differences. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and passions. It just sucks when someone think's since you're different, you're wrong. Ehem... UHP
