Ive had a set of 35 watt 10k hid's for nearly 3 years, and one finally went out for good.
I replaced them today with a set of 55watt 12k's and decided to recycle the one usable, still working HID ballast and bulb.

a few wires, a 5 prong toyota relay and some hot glue, and this is what i got.:jump:

ill get better pics when night falls.

wow 10k and 12k ultimate ricer color

yep, but it makes these farm roads much more drivable at night, because when you goto a higher wattage, you lose light temperature... so a 10k at 35 watts is 10k, but a 10k at 55watts is about 8.5k

thats ridiculously bright! in a good way though.
i kinda want to do this with some 6k bulbs i have lying around :biggrin2:

now theres no excuse for someone saying they didnt see you while you were reversing. haha

That's pretty badass, I've seen people over at oznium.com do this before and also use HID's as license tag bulbs as well.. lol
