High Beams for HID users

So I have 6000k HID's for both my fogs and headlights and now you can barely notice my high beams when I use them on the backroads I'm on a lot when I go to my cabin. What do you guys use? I currently have some Hella bulbs in there now but it just doesn't do much for me.

HIR's will probably be about the best thing that you can do. Unfortunately HID's take a few to warm up so they may not be the best option for high's unless you're used to turning them on and staying on.

I thought the higher "k", the lower output it gives.
For example: 4000k is brighter than the 6000k. I maybe wrong tho.

I use Sylvania Silverstar in highs and I do see a difference between lows and highs. Highs are basically reaching a lot further compared to lows. With projectors cut-off its very dark after 100 feet or so when using lows. Don't forget that I'm also running 55 watt ballast which is 30% brighter than regular 35 watt HID kits. I'l try take some pictures tonight

It has everything to do with the color the human eye can see. The human eye likes the 3000-5000k spectrum. As the color gets higher in K, the visible light decreases. Make sense?

I used HIR in my hi-beams and fogs...my xenon kit comes in this week for the low beams.

I can tell you that HIR is brighter...cleaner...and offers more light. The Hi-beams are impressive and the fogs are great. The HIRs really make great use of the reflectors. Its the way to go, especially for the price.

Something seems wrong here. When you turn on your high beams, they should be filling in the gaps where the HID's aren't. If you don't notice your high beams, you're blinding other drivers.

Based upon the year of your vehicle, I don't believe you have the projector headlamps w/ the cut off. For me (2008), the high beams pick up where the cut off ends/starts and definately fills up the road.

basically everybody who runs HID kits in reflecor housing blinding oncoming traffic, but most will deny they do or simply unaware of this fact. In most countries in Europe its becoming illegal and you will get pulled over and lose your license on a spot for 3-6 months if using gas fillament bulbs in not certified headlights. That is how serious of the problem it becomes these days. I surprized North America is still behind on this matter

I can see them they're just not that bright...errr get what im saying?
