Hi all,
I just did the following work on my 1999 4Runner 3.4 that has a 1st gen supercharger.
All parts are Toyota
All injectors
Valve cover gaskets
Cam plugs
Cylinder head plugs
Denso IK22 plugs gapped at .035
timing belt
cam seals
crank seal
idler pulley #1, #2
timing belt tensioner
water pump
thermostat
Champion CC1998 aluminum radiator
upper and lower radiator hoses
supercharger oil change
supercharger coupler change
plenum gasket
Started just fine after getting it all back together, but the idle is very high. For a few minutes after start it idles at 2500 RPM, then finally drops to 1700 RPM after getting up to temperature.
What's going on that could be causing the high idle?
