High mileage maintenance 2003 4runner

just turned 185,000 miles on my '03 4runner. have done regular maintenance. seems to have developed a shimmy when you hit rough spot in road. anyone have experience at this mileage? shocks? oh yeah and time for new timing belt, I suspect.

Welcome. I'd look at shocks and tie-rod ends.

V6's don't use a timing belt, they use a no-maintenance chain. The V8 uses a belt that needs replacement every 90k. If you have the V8 it probably needs attention.

Wow, I just hit 150k on my '03

Define high mileage? 185K/7 yrs is only 26K a year. Sums up to 2166 miiles a month and 72 miles a day. Not bad! I drive 30 miles a day just to and from work alone.
