High mileage transmission slip update

I had an earlier thread about my 2003 sport having major transmission slip issues. Seemingly they were fixed by a transmission flush and fill, at least until yesterday. Started having the same issues and this time decided to go to a transmission specialist. On the way over I started thinking about the fact that both times the transmission messed up, it had been pouring down rain. Could that be a factor? The good news is, that was the issue.
According to the tranny specialist, I have a wire that is shorting out when it gets wet. He said the transmission mechanically had zero issues, all I needed to do was crawl under the car, look for loose wires and tape them up. Aside from peace of mind that little project should save me about $2000. I'm shooting for 400,000 miles now!

It was working fine by the time I got there. Even the check engine/VSC/DSC lights had gone out on their own. Basically, once it had dried out, no more issue. He pulled the codes, no charge, and told me what the problem was and how to fix it. He said his shop could check the wiring or I could, but he was backed up at the time, so he couldn't do it at that time
All I know is I was thinking at a minimum I was going to be buying a tranny and maybe even a new vehicle. So finding out it was just a loose wire was like finding $2500 laying on the ground.
