high pressure valve stems for LT tires?

Hi,
I've ordered some LT (load range E) tires for my 2005 T4R SE. I currently have P-rated tires. My new tires will hopefully be installed later this week. When the tire guy asked me if I wanted new valve stems I told him no (because of TPMS) but now I'm wondering if that was the right thing to do. I don't plan on running the tires anywhere near the 80psi maximum, but would like to have the option of going to a somewhat higher pressure when towing my travel trailer.

Question 1: Is it possible to, and should I have them put new valves in my TPMS stems?
Question 2: do they make, and do I need "high pressure" valves to go into the TPMS stems?

u cant just replace ur 4r tpms valve stem, the stem is part of the sensor. if its not broke , dont fix it, u'll be fine unless he breaks one when changing the tires over, that has been done before, they are not cheap & would then need programming.

i may be wrong, maybe just the stem can be replaced, since these r sold 2004-2006 Toyota 4Runner TPMS Valve Stem - Dorman it would require taking the sensor apart, & if ur gonna do that, might as well replace the battery while ur at it since its an 05 & the batteries last about 10 years. wonder what this would cost. so far, i havent seen anything other that OE replacement ones & rebuild kits, so im not sure they even make high pressure ones for the stock sensors. either way, i still say aint broke , dont fix, u should be fine.

BTW, what do you think of the Michelin LTX A/T2 LT265/70R17E tires?
