Long life tires used mostly on the highway. Presto. An easy 100k.

After seeing all these high mileage on the 4runners. I sold my 05 RX330 and bought 06 4runner 4.0L SE 2WD with 103k miles. I like it a lot better than the RX330, but not my wife.

Tell her to deal with it in a nice way.

I'm not a pro-driver or a mechanic.
As far as maintenance, I generally limit myself to oil changes, brakes, spark plug replacement, grease points etc. With basic mechanical aptitude most people can service their vehicle. If you take the initiative and learn how to properly perform the repair/maintenance, you generally don't have problems.

I also appreciate the auto part stores that will "pull" a computer diagnostic from your vehicle, and review the error codes. These codes can confirm problems, and will generally show what you need to review.
