2004 4runner V8 sport, 180,000 miles. I bought it new. I Change the oil every 5k miles. Still drives like the day I bought it new. No squeaks, and it's smooth and powerful. Best car I have ever owned.
Failed so far..(1) transfer case seal, typical (2) A/C relay and (3) interior overhead light.
getting 60k miles from each set of Michelin cross terrain tires. but they get noisy at 60k.
rotors and pads several times.
a couple of tranny oil/filter changes
can't even feel the idle when running.

I know its not 4th Gen but my 02 has 190k I think I beat everyone lol!
I just bought a 2007 with 100k miles and it runs great. I'm a total noob to these trucks but I've always loved them. I'm searching around now for the typical maintenance issues and things to do some preventive work to it. I'm hoping to keep this baby forever, it's awesome. I gotta get rid of the double decker cargo shelf though, it smells like the previous owner's dog's BUTT. Free to a good home!

148,500 miles on my '03 Limited V6
* new serpentine belt at 90,000 (gatorback)
* synthetic oil every 7-8k miles
* new oil filter every OTHER oil change
* Differential oil every 50,000 with synthetic
* Radiator drain/refill at 100,000 with factory fluid
* Drain refill (repeat repeat repeat) Transmission at 100,000
* Many brake pads (never replaced rotors....as they should last 1million)
* A/C relay
* several interior bulbs
* couple air filters
* Plugs switched to platinum at 90,000
* Greased zerks couple times per year or so
* Dumped x-fer case oil and refilled (unless you 4wd a lot, this is not nec)
Drives as smooth as day 1. I get about 16 mpg city, and average 21 on the highway, if I keep it at 75 mph. Uses about 1 qt of oil per 5,000 miles though (still not sure if this is slightly high, or if it's normal)

Castrol GTX 5w30- Every 3000 miles( I know). 162000 miles, engine runs great.
'04 SR5 4WD with 110k miles, most racked up on ski trips to/from Vermont and on/around the streets of New York and Boston. As a result, it definitely shows its age, with significant underbody corrosion (several underbody parts have fallen off and/or required replacement, spare tire hoist barely works). I wish I had its undercarriage washed more often, or somehow protected, in its earlier years.

...whatever fully synthetic oil is on sale, mostly Mobil 1 or Pennzoil.
Changed at 8-10k/ miles.

181k.....original motor and trans. Just replaced the timing belt and all the other goodies that go with it yesterday.

Original trans? If so how many fluid changes have done or not done with the trans?

wow thats double the interval for the belt. how did it look? I just ticked over 100k
