And why can't we get this kit here yet? I am no mechanic, but I would think the engine components must be identical no matter what market or vehicle in which the engine is fitted. So couldn't you just bolt this thing on and head for the horizon? 320HP, thats pretty sporty.

A lot of times the engines are different based on the market, due to weather conditions/fuel types.

It may be something as small as an ecu tune, or a different head for higher compression ratio, but many cars use the same engine, just altered slightly depending on location.

Not to mention it's not smog legal in the US, a problem in some states.

They did the same announcement with the Tacoma Pre-Runner. It was supercharged for the show, but never made it to production. We'll see if this model actually comes to reality.

You think they'll be able to squeeze that monster into our engine bay? I thought the 4.7L was tight. I can't imagine the 5.7L in the same space.

It will be the 5th gen. Nissan started it with the 5.6 V8 Titan engine. I hope the HP war goes into overdrive!
