HIR (Halogen Infrared) Bulbs?

Any of you have experience with HIR (Halogen Infrared) bulbs?
From the link above they look pretty good.. just a bit pricy than the Silverstars..

Don't think they will work...sent an email to Daniel Stern at candlepower and this was his response:

We do carry the 9012, but it is far too intense for safe use in the low
beams of your 2003 Toyota 4Runner. The glare for other road users would
be far too high, unless you tipped the headlamps aim well downward.
Even then, the glare would still be excessive. I do not recommend you
attempt to use 9012 bulbs in that application. We do have
high-efficiency 9006 bulbs which will not cause that problem, at
$13/ea.
