Hitch height in back

Hitch height in back / lift ?

I was just outside and noticed the rear hitch height from the ground to the hitch plate where the trailer hooks go in measures at 14.5 " and I was looking at my wifes Escape 4x4 and that hitch measuring in the same place is 17" above the ground.

So when I put my 1" front lift on it will be even lower in the back , correct ????

I wouldn't think you will see too much difference in the height... Maybe 1/2 of an inch at the most. When you lift the front to level out the rig, the rear doesn't really act like a lever and tilt down but you may see some small difference because the change in angle (slight change) of the rear springs.
