I thought this was cool for when I go biking or the beach.

That's just asking someone to smack it a time or two with a sledge and steal whatever is in it. That's literally an advertisement for a thief. Mount an ammo can under the hood, safer, water proof, out of sight, 20 bucks if that.

I referee and umpire and would like to have a place to store a door key instead of having keys in my pocket, this would be good. Cant put that in an ammo can under the hood, wouldnt be able to access it.

Thanks,

Hopefully you don't learn how bad an idea this is the hard way. This could also lead to a huge insurance issue. Having your truck stolen because you left a key unsecured can lead to a rejected claim. I wish you luck

I doubt someone passing by will think a safe is behind the tow cover. Plus this was beyond solid. Plus the vehicle isn’t exactly worth tons at this point that it’s 11 years old. I’ll take the risk.

I agree. If you saw the exposed lock, sure, it might invite a theft attemp, but behind that cover, no one would give it a second glance. Pretty cool idea.

I agree. It would definitely take a sledge hammer and dozens of strikes to break. Also, theft is theft is theft. Even if you get your keys stolen....now if I could only get the damn thing to fit....
