Picture request: How to remove trailer hitch wiring

ok this is looking like a really easy solution. Im liking this a lot. Thank you for the idea!

I tow rarely, I use a hitch mounted bike rack the most, but I wanted a way to revert back to factory if I needed and this seems like the ticket. I already ordered a different wiring harness that has both the 4 pin and 7pin, and if that doesn't work out I'll be getting this.

I have the cableless version of what the Dr shows. More like the one in the link. Some even come with LEDs on them so you can verify the plug is good.

Alright everyone, I finally got to it and got everything up and running. So I ended up ordering this harness on eBay

With this harness and plug, I removed the factory 7 pin and replaced it with the new kit. Annoyed that some of the mounting holes for the mounting bracket didn't line up, but nothing drilling a new hole couldn't fix. This new wiring harness plugs into the back of the 7 pin, so I was able to use my original wiring harness from Diode Dynamics in line. Now when I go to tow, I can just unplug the light, stash it in the runner, and have a 7 or 4 pin at my disposal.

This is the new harness in and diode harness in line with it. Diode has plenty of video of this light in action so I probably won't post any photos of that.

Just need to do a bit more cleanup of the wiring and tie everything off/tuck it away and we are good to go!

In case it isn't obvious I did drop the spare to give me more space to work with. Spare is back in place so no more good photos of the harness, and wiring is cleaned up. Thank you everyone for the photos and suggestions!

yea, the rust free is quite the luxury. I may pay WAY too much for rent but it's one of the biggest perks for living in California.

So I pulled out the old harness and saw that I could not remove the harness from the plug. I fully replaced the factory harness and plug with one that was removable. From the photos on the eBay listing I had no idea this would be removable, I just lucked out.
