Hi There. I'm on my first T4R and have many plans for it. I just picked it up used with 207K Miles with a 24 Month 24K Bumper to Bumper Warranty. It's a Black on Tan SR5 4X4 with sunroof. Picked it up right after the new year and man this thing loves to eat snow. I absolutely love this rig.

This is my first T4R, but I always dreamed of one exactly like this one. Always had Hondas and currently own an '03 Civic as well. Had a '99 Trooper before this T4R.

I'm planning to suspension lift it about 2.5" with maybe a 1" body lift and put some bigger rubber but keep the stock wheels. I want it to look as stock as possible but beefier. Kinda like a little Tonka toy. Know what I mean?

I'm putting some pics up, but since then I've put a Thule Roof System on it with a small basket which I plan to swap out for a Rola basket to fit the spare tire up top.

Since I just spent on this thing, I'm looking to start with small, less expensive mods and upgrades. I want to lift the rear a little, what do you guys think of add-a-leaf rear lifts and would it affect the Suspension and Body lift I wanna add later? Any ideas and suggestions on mods and upgrades would help!

3rd gens have springs, no leafs, so add-a-leafs won't be an option. Old Man Emu springs for lifts are a great choice. There are different types of springs available to cater to your own tastes. There's a tonne of lift threads in the 3rd gen section to help along.

BTW, This magazine ad from back in '99 or 2000 is why I always wanted this exact same 4Runner. Of course mine didn't end up being the Highlander, but my SR5 4x4 is close enough.

Hey Kwik8608, thanks for the friendly welcome. Nope, I don't attend OSU, i'm a Longhorn. Work brought me up here. Only been to Cleveland once in my 3 years here. Maybe next time i'm up your way I'll hit you up to go hit some trails. Looking for some around here in Cbus.

gptoy96 You probably know better about this than these guys, but like you said, it's worth giving them a ring. I did read somewhere that Sears can add some new rear springs on the cheap (sub $200) and that they work to push up the rear a little. Heard of that? Thanks again bud!

Yeah, guess i'll be following the Browns this season. Gotta support Colt MyBoy. That dude just fell on Cleveland's lap.

If we can find a nice, easy trail around here in Central Ohio, maybe we can get together. Any of you Ohioans know some good 4Wheel/4Runner techs/locales that can provide lifts and such around here?

Not sure of any trails around here. And as for shops... again... no idea haha. I do see a green, probably '03, 4runner that's lifted w/ an arb front bumper around my neck of the woods from time to time tho.
