Holiday Upgrades

So I took some time off over the break and spent my Christmas cash on a few things for the 4Runner. My wife got me a Yakima Load Warrior that I installed the day after Christmas. I decided it was time to upgrade the speakers as well which I did this week on and off. I wanted to fiberglass some subs into the rear quarters but it's going to have to wait until this spring I think. I installed all Alpine audio equipment minus the temporary ghetto box with 2 Oz 10" woofers. Nothing out of this world but here are some pics for people who have never seen the inside of their truck before:

looks good! How are them tweeters? I have some in my car too but they never got switched when i did my stereo install to something better is it worth it? PS nice Runner.

The tweeters sound great. The 11 year old paper cones in the doors were dry rotten and blown so the whole thing sounds way better.

Did you run new wiring for the door speakers, or just used the stock connections? I plan on doing this sometime in the near future.

I just used the stock wiring for the time being. If and when I decide to run an amp to the doors I'll upgrade to some thicker wires. I know it's super thin as is but I just don't think the benefits out weigh the labor right now... especially since it's been about 32° all week :)

I like that Yak rack, it looks good on there. Going to be doing the same thing w/ the stereo soon, I still have the stock '97 entire stereo system in mine. I might be the only one left! haha. congrats.
