Holy Gas Station Robery Batman!!

ok soooo, I'm mostly just venting because of the RIDICULOUSNESS of the labor quote I just received. I called and asked for a quote on the following:
-spark plug change
-thermostat change
-oil change
-front diff oil change
-trans oil change
-rear diff oil change

and told him I already had the parts (thermostat and spark plugs) so just a quote for labor...he calls me back an hour later with a grand total of $657!!!!!!!! To turn what is essentially 16bolts (6 sparkplugs, two bolts on the thermostat, and 2 bolts per fluid change)! un-FREAKING-believable! Thank god I called and didn't just drop it off.

I JUST DID ALL OF THAT LAST MONTH MY SELF AND IT COST ME $75 FOR EVERYTHING. I SURE GLAD I DID IT MY SELF. I THINK THAT IS REDICULOUS THOUGH.

lol I just noticed i spelled robbery wrong. I did the thermostat tonight and it took about 15mins. I was planning on doing my spark plugs, but when I opened the box of NGK Iridium's, they were only single electrode

Ridiculous. Oh btw if they had changed your spark plugs they would have considered that a "tune up" and charged accordingly. I learned that the hard way
