Holy Jim - Mt Bike wreck

Was up at Trabuco today working the new suspension and attempting to hike (had my 6 year old, he decided his feet hurt and we didn't even make it to the trail head). On the way back to the runner I got flagged down to help a guy down the wash, he had wrecked his mountain bike pretty badly. Nasty cuts and a broken arm, probably also a concussion.

On the way to the hospital we were talking and he said he had a 2012 4runner TE with a lift and tires. He was kind of out of it when I asked if he was on the forums so don't know if he is or not, but if you're on here Robert, I hope you're alright buddy. You weren't looking too hot when we got to the hospital.

They had ridden their bikes there from Ladera Ranch so nobody had a vehicle to get him out and I certainly wasn't going to say no. If I had even thought about it, there was at least one fire fighter on duty at the output when I was driving up. We could have run him over there for an initial check before continuing on. If nothing else I saved him a helicopter ride, heh. Right place, right time, I'm glad I was capable of helping.

the question is......if he said he owns a Jeep would you have helped him?

hahahaha. I didn't find out about the 4runner until he was already in mine and we were on our way, so yes, he probably would have still gotten a ride. There were a bunch of FJ Cruisers up that way doing trail cleanup along with a bunch of jeeps and misc trucks. That was nice to see.
