Check this out! This guy is going to jump from 120,000 feet! That would be AWESOME!!!!!

He was supposed to jump Tuesday and Wednesday, but due to winds they post-poned the launch until Sunday.

It's pretty awesome. However, in 1960 Joe Kittinger jumped from 102,800 feet in which during the ascent his glove suffered a pressurization failure that caused his hand to swell to twice it's size. in 1959 he jumped from 74,000 feet and went into a flat spin, lost consciousness and the g forces were measured at 22g's on his extremities. Thankfully for him the automatic parachute opened.

Joe Kittinger is one of his advisors. Felix has already done practice jumps from 96,000 and below. I'm just saying how bad ass it would be to jump from 120,000'. I mean, I jumped from 10k, and would love to do it again(when the wifey doesn't know). If I could do HALO jumps, that would be the t!ts!!

I forget what they're called, but there is a company out there that does HALO jumps for the civilian public. They're expensive as all hell, but if I had the cash I'd be all over it. Just google halo skydiving, or high altitude skydiving or something like that

So am I! Completly forgot that it was going on until I saw the thing on yahoo. damn memory problems...

Where in NC are you? I'm in Jacksonville.

Holy crap that as the coolest thing ive seen in a while. Much more entertaining that football on this fine sunday morning! He didn't even stutter when it was time to jump. And his landing was like he had done it a million times, like a boss!!
