HomeLink for gate

I know the Homelink topic has been beat to death here, but I am trying to get my homelink to work with the gate opener of my apartment complex.. We have little clickers that open the gate. I cant for the life of me get them to program in my 03... I bought it used, maybe there are others programmed do i need to erase? or is this even possible?

I think most gate codes send rolling codes. You have to press the Learn button somewhere on the main box of the gate and then run to your 4Runner and press the Homelink button down whilst it learns all the rolling codes. Talk to the building maintenance worker of your complex. Or call the installer/manufacturer of the gate to find out where the learn button is.
