How was the install? Do you have to wire the Homelink yourself or sis there a pre-made plug-n-play DIN type attachment? Any instructions on how to pop out the old console unit without damaging it?

Guys I gotta tell you.. I was looking for that darn Homelink thing for a couple of month. I bought one from Acura (same as honda) it was a year ago, back then 4r's were rare find, but Honda's looked similar and guess what it did fit!! The homelink electronics board is Identical on honda and toyota, actually i think that the board is fairly standard on newer cars. I did get one from Dodge, NANA didn't fit. So I got this Honda unit and opened my maplight assembly, with a little work i was able to just slide the board in and all contacts matched I did have to modify the buttons board and had to drill holes for buttons and the LED, but it looked ok. I finally found one on Ebay that was original Toyota's so i replaced it, but hey Honda's cost me $10 or $15 also on ebay. So if you want to have fun, there is a project for you.
