Hood Adjustment

Having an issue with the hood. Its rubbing the cowl in the middle when raising and lowering. I've already pulled the hood as far forward as the hinge bolts will allow. Cowl is screwed down. Not sure what other adjustments I can make. Next would be adding washers between the hinges and the hood to raise it up a bit. Any other suggestions?

Has the car ever been in front end collision? Sometimes the hinges get all messed up and you would have to replace them.

After a few hours trying every adjustment on the hinges, spaces in every direction I still had a probably. Eyeing the line of the hood, I started to think the middle had just sunk down a little. Not like a dent, but a long sag from side to side. I ended up just pulling out on the middle of the rear of the hood bending it up slightly. Sure enough, the rubbing went away. I have another 1st gen in the driveway doing this to, so it must be common for these hoods to start sagging or bending with stress there in the back.

Just wanted to document solution if anyone else is looking for an answer.
