hood louvers

I came across these just a few minutes ago. what do you think of them. I'm seriously thinking of getting them after I fix my mirrors. RunCool Hood Louvers/Hood Vents For Your Vehicle - Cool Your Engine - RaceAce I think my biggest problem is how it would look on my truck or anybodies really. any ideas? The benefits seem real.

Benefits?? they seem like u just slap em on the hood, about as useful as the scooped sport edition hoods. IThat's assuming your talking about air flow to the engine..Waste of money, I'd rather save up for an OEM one.

had em on my grand cherokee, they weakened the hood somewhat that it flexed & since i had them molded in cracked the bondo & paint, if that wasnt enough they let tons of water in,the water runs down the hood & in when parked, so then i had a tray fabbed up underneath to bring the water to the side of the bay, made bolts, brackets & such rust, so i went back to oem hood.

Are you having problems with over heating or are you doing it just for looks?

I wanted it for function seeing as how hard the truck is pushed. I kinda guess it would weaken the hood as you cut holes in it and their might be some metal fatique as you punch rivets in it. I might as well stay with what I got.
