hood pin?

does a 2006 4runner have a hood pin that would set off an alarm? i didnt see one, where is it? any ideas?

I don't see one either. But the manual says there is one with the factory alarm system (assuming you have a Limited). To test for it, roll down the window and arm the system through your remote. The security LED on the dash will be solid and begin to flash after about 30 seconds. Without opening the door or unlocking the car, reach in and pop the hood, the alarm should sound off. Alternatively, you can arm the system while staying seated in the car. I didn't test for hood switch, but it does sound off if the doors are opened.
