Hood Scoop on 2005 Sport Edition

Hello everybody.
My Runner is maroon and I was thinking on getting a new Hood Scoop but a black one. I was wondering if anybody happen to already have done it and share a pic to see how it looks. I'm planning on getting an ARB roof rack and bumper which are black. Later get black rims and I think that a back hood scoop could be a nice accent. I found the soop in Ebay for around $20.

Why not just plasti dip yours?

That scoop you posted the link for will not work on your 4runner. You will have to either replace the whole hood to a black one, or replace the little plastic portion that makes up the front of the stock scoop to black - not sure where you would find that part though.

The link you posted would simply sit on top of the stock hood scoop you already have.

I guess I can give it a try. I just want to make sure that it looks right, this is why I was wondering if I can find a pic of somebody's runner with this already done.

Why not paint the center section of the hood??? You can use a satin black or a base/clear combo... you cannot remove/replace that hood scoop without changing the hood.

X2 on the Plastidip. Just tape off around the hood scoop and over the hood scoop grill to protect from overspray and spray multiple coats on it until your happy with the look. It will peel off if you don't like it. My wife just got a 2015 Tacoma Trd Friday and we promptly sprayed the grill and badges. My 4Runners wheels and grill are done too, haven't had any issues yet

I plastidipped my scoop to try to cut down on sun reflection I get at times. Mine was black already though.
