Hood Scoop Swap

Since Car & Driver has determined that the hood scoop is not good, I would like to relieve this awful impediment from anyone who can't live with it. I have a Salsa red Limited hood (without the dreaded scoop) and would like to help (trade) someone with a view blocking hood. Of course it would have to be an OEM Salsa red Sport.

i don't think anyone would trade you a regular hood for a sport hood. people buy SE model because of the hood scoop .it look cool! that why I got a SE:D
 
I don't know what is more funny--the original post or the last "response". :p

Personally at first I didn't care for the scoop, but it grew on me really quick. Luckily I can deal with the horrible visibility it causes.

It was a tough choice between a Ltd and a Sport. The end deciding factor was cost--though by the time I'm done with installing Leather TRD seats tomorrow, I'll be approaching the cost of a Ltd and won't have power seats or any other bells and whistles. :)

I use two of 'em and keep my head out the sunroof to see over it. Works like a charm unless it is snowing. I've read in other threads of some dealerships offering "swaps" at time of sale, but then there are VIN # issues involved....
 
Oh, and on the topic of slippery, i am going to get my bike liscence in june. The 3rd of june to be exact

It all depends on your style. Are you concerned about looking good or looking for performance? If riding (put-put) on the Boulevard is your thing then a cruiser will do. If you
 
I went looking with my ol' man this weekend, and came across a roadstar warrior. 1700cc's. Thing is a beast and it is big enough for me.

Any thoughts
 
How much would a sport hood cost? I looked on the partznet. I get a bunch of crap like retainers but not the actual cost of the darn hood? I figure I just need the hood since I can replace all the other stuff with the stock hood?

it would cost you about $500 for the SE hood and the part under the scoop. + paint= around $600 to $700
