Hood Scope for older 4Runner models

I am actually in the market for a 1997-1998 4Runner and I relaize that there aren't any sport editions this early. I really love the scope on the 2002 Sport ediiton and was wondering how and where I could buy an after market scope from Toyota or another manufacturer that would look like that. Thank you for your help.

PS- is the Limited the only 4 wheel drive model this early in the 4runner history?

If you can go as new as 1999, that's when the Highlander Edition started, with the hood scoop. Shouldn't be that big of a difference in cost between a Limited '98 and a Highlander '99.

If not, then you could probably just buy the whole hood from Toyota. No idea how much that would cost though.

No, 4wd was not only on the Limited back in 1997-1998. The 4Runner has been around since the mid-80s, if not even earlier. So 1997 is actually late in the 4Runner history, not early.

I would try E-bay I have seen them on there from time to time.

A hood fromm the dealer would cost some$

Maybe a salvage yard too.

If you do try E-bay search for "hood scoop" not "scope" a scope is what a docter uses.
