The hood of my 06 SE vibrates whenever I go over a bump or rough road. Noticeable during street driving since highway speed usually drown out the vibration noise. Apparently there is some free-play when the hood is latched. I can move the hood slightly up and down to recreate the noise.
I notice there are two rubber stoppers at the interior front of the hood that is adjustable and I have adjusted them, but in order for the hood to be tightly latched, the rubber stoppers have to be lengthen to the point of raising the hood so that it is no longer flush with the rest of the body line.
Is there a way to adjust the latch apparatus itself? or is this vibration / freeplay normal? Has anyone with 06 or 07 noticed the same problem? I know it's only a minor annoyance, but none of my cars past or present ever have hoods that are not solidly latched.
