Yeah. And I find it truly amazing that all of the leaders of the whole world are collaborating in this so-called plandemic to subjugate the workers of the world and destroy global commerce. They all are fools and are so evil. :naughty:

Yes, you make a good point and I fully agree about that slippery slope but, based on the information we have today, social distancing and taking the measures we have to date has reduced the number of fatalities. We don't know how many would have been saved had we taken those steps earlier, nor do we know what the numbers would been had we gone about with business as usual - but we can make some assumptions based on Italy, Spain and France as compared to a country like Austria (that did most everything right after a disaster in Tirol).

Benjamin Disraeli is credited with saying "there are three kinds of lies - lies, damn lies and statistics". Today, we are faced with everyone looking at some tiny subset of some numbers and saying "it ain't so bad" by picking and choosing numbers.

We are always faced with making decisions and recommendations based on the information available at the time the decision is made. If that information changes, then the decision may change - just like Fauci has made new recommendations based on new information.

Then, there is the criticism of the Comfort and the Mercy. "The Comfort only has 3 patients, so that means that they weren't necessary....."

What is missing is the fact that the medical staff from the Comfort (and presumably from the Mercy) are working in the city hospitals. The Comfort and Mercy were not designed for this type of mission. They were designed for combat casualties of otherwise healthy young troops. The design of the ships does not really lend itself to this type of activation. The docs and other staff, on the other hand, are world class and up to any challenge.

There will be lots of questions that will require answers when this is over. Why hasn't this disease decimated Africa? The Chinese influence in Africa is enormous and this should had an impact. How about India? There is no concept of social distancing. Russia? There is sufficient western news reporting there that they can't control, that would have reported significant outbreaks.

But those are all questions for later. Now, we need to take the advice from the medical professionals and stay home.

Two things to add to this.

1) Those people were in poor health prior to contracting the virus.
Combinations of hypertension, diabetes and histories of smoking. So im my opinion, these people killed themselves.

2) From January to April, that is the only instance the CDC could find of this occurring anywhere in our county. Out of the thousand of gatherings from January to April, this is the ONLY example of this happening? Hasn't happened anywhere else? In my opinion, that is a very week argument for shelter in place.

Also would like to point out that less than 1% of the people that die from this have no underlying conditions.

People need to mind their own business. Just because you are terrified and want to be barricaded in you house doesn't mean other people should feel the same way. It just be me but the virus is just doing a little spring cleaning.

Good idea. Lets not teach our youth anything. Lets not even show them how much smarter we are. Lets just ignore them. They won't listen to us anyways.

We have beards and beer guts that show the world how 'experienced' we are. We don't have to answer questions.

The issue is that you're looking through the lens of what you think is currently best for yourself. Some are looking through the lens of what's best for the group. The rational choice is not scalable between them. The rational choice for the individual is not the rational choice for the group. So we have this divide. Both sides think the other is acting irrationally. And they're both right. It just depends on whether you're looking out for yourself or for the collective.

Is the group allowed to kick people out who choose not to act in the best interests of the group? No mandatory participation, but reciprocally no assured participation. Maybe suspend EMTALA and identify people who no longer qualify to receive treatment.

Dont forget they turned Javits Center into a 3500 bed hospital and there’s like 200 people in there. I also read that Medical people who came to New York to work at the hospitals because they were supposedly overloaded can’t find jobs.

Let's get a list started for those who are willing to go on record to not take a bed and ventilator WHEN they get infected.

Put up or shut up tough guys. Just minding my business because you idiots will eventually get what's coming. Just don't affect how people I care about get treatment. Since we are being selfish, the more DNRs the better for my "selfish" desires of saving those worth saving.
