yeah no. "the rich" pay the majority of all taxes collected. if it wasn't for the taxes they pay, the rest of us would be ****ed.

A suspected Covid-19 male patient is lying in bed in the hospital, wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose. A young student female nurse appears and gives him a partial sponge bath.
"Nurse,"' he mumbles from behind the mask, "are my testicles black?"
Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, "I don't know, Sir. I'm only here to wash your upper body and feet."

Well first, that's not remotely what I said. I certainly never said they cancel each other out. You just made that up.
As for what I said "your rights end where mine begin."
It means your freedom to live your life as you choose can not impact anyone else’s freedom to live their lives as they choose (which is one of the flaws in extreme libertarian thinking)
If you disagree with that, I dare you to come take a shit on my lawn and see how your rights end.

Yes, there are many in IT that I have personally witnessed training their H-1B visa holder co-workers only to be laid off and the H-1B holders replaced them.
In each of the past five years, the H-1B visa cap has been reached within a week of the application period opening. The number of applications rose from 124,000 for fiscal 2014 to 236,000 in 2017, before dropping to 199,000 for fiscal 2018.
I suspect there are many more than the 200,000 (H-1B visa holders) that are undocumented non-citizen, non-visa holders working in America for exactly the reasons stated in other posts.
I went to purchase a set of summer tires and wheels for my wife's car today. One set of wheels I found that she liked were made in China, the other set she liked were made in Thailand. The Thai-made wheels were the only ones we agreed to purchase. Many times you have to look really hard to find who owns/manufactures an item.

But there's a problem with that quote. The US was never wholly libertarian. No country ever has been. For example, the US had public schools even when it was founded. A libertarian would say that all education should be privately funded.
We also had a variety of public services - libertarians (in the purest sense) would argue against public services. Plus early settlers in the colonies and many of our founders were far too puritanical to have been libertarian.
NOt sure I f Said it here before But I told my wife never to buy Smithfield pork products again. Wholly owned by a Chinese company. There are plenty of American Pork producers!! I did not realize they have been owned by the China man since 2008 until this week when they had to close down production due to I believe 30 workers tested + for Covid-19. I am boycotting them due to the ownership!! I too told my wife when she shops for ANYTHING to try NOT to buy Chinese Mfg products!
