Glad to hear that some sort of resolution has been reached. That article sucks though, way to be unbiased yahoo.
 
I have money Gobi wrote that article, as Yahoo just picked it up from Berkshire Hathaway...there are ties some how. IDK how, but there are ties.

I'm curious to know what "changes" have been made to the original design. Either way, a Gobi sticker would look good next to my Calvin sticker.
 
I'd like to know when WMW estimates that they'll have new designs made. If there's a 5th gen one made I'd order one as soon as it became available.

Gobi didn't write it but their PR guy did. Read the bottom of the article, the guy works for a PR firm out of Denver. I made a comment last night about how the statements seemed really scripted and it was deleted within 5 minutes.

Yea, I noticed that...however I'm certain Gobi and their lawyers had a lot of say in it.
 
I appreciate the support, but this thread really is counterproductive and I'd appreciate it if you would remove it. Bottom line - after meeting with my own intellectual property experts, I have made the decision to change my design. I met with the owners of GOBI, and they were cool enough to work with me to find a solution that worked for both of us. They're a good company.
 
Interesting enough but really a shame if they think it will blanket the situation. Notice how WM response is the same everytime. Just like Paul's response when he was questioned for legitimacy. He just kept responding with the companies motto. WM has to be scripted and I'm assuming he has to say that and can only say that. Even if Gobi has "legally" managed this. Doesn't mean it is right. Now they are just trying to PR the crap out of the scenario to make it look like it's all peachy now. None of these press release negate the actual functoning of the company ID2000 and Gobi.
 
Look I'm all up for conspiracy theories and such. But we don't quite know the whole story here (in terms of what the details of the resolution is/was) and I'd say what damage Gobi has done to themselves is well known. Perhaps we shouldn't drag WMW in on a fight they've already resolved and don't want to be a part of?

If someone speaks out against your expression on the topic please contact a mod and do not rebuttal! Please keep in mind that we do not know all the details with the agreement and that Josh, as much as he probably loves that everyone being on his side, would love to put this behind him and begin R&D for his next products for us.

I love how individuals pull out the conspiracy theory, just like last time when there was a GOBI acct, and when I called them out on it I was dismissed only to be a conspiracy theorist. In regards to dragging WMV into the matter I fully agree. He isn't going to have much of a different response that will delineate from what he is allowed to say. But I still again counter that neither of these threads would really exist if they didn't get the original thread deleted.
The PR campaign they keep promoting is just another cheap shot. I'm done with this being about GOBI vs WMW, it is now about the actual reasoning and rules of this public forum being just that Public.
