Horn honks when locking/unlocking doors

Hello all. I just purchased a 2008 T4R from a dealer here in Colorado.
I don't find anything in the owners manual about disabling the horn from honking every time I lock or unlock the doors. The fob has the Toyota emblem and 2 ID numbers - FCC ID: HYQ12BBX & IC: 1551A-12BBX and the word DENSO.
Does anyone know how I can disable the horn or get a hold of instructions explaining how to do it? Thanks

Horn? Sounds like an aftermarket alarm or something. From the factory, they "beep" via the Peizo (horn) which is located under the hood. Ask the dealer or go to a car stereo installation shop.

mine does the same thing. there is a small black button near the parking brake that I have to press for a few seconds when in park with the key turned partially, then a red light on the dash lights up. definitely aftermarket.

My '07 (also purchased in Colorado) used to do the same thing, it was the aftermarket Karr Alarm system. Do you have a blue Karr sticker on the driver's side window? If so, here's the procedure to stopping the horn. You will still have the standard Toyota "chirp" but it's much less obnoxious than the horn.

Just bought an '05. This was bothering me. under steering wheel, on the panel, there is a little black button. press it, horn will honk twice. Now horn does not honk when I unlock/lock doors. No idea if this is after market alarm
