Hot driver and passenger floorboard

I have noticed over the past couple of weeks my driver and passenger floorboards heat up really quick, even after short drives. I drove about 10 miles tonight, climbed under my car and the cats were extremely hot. Is this normal? Anyone had a similar issue? No codes have been thrown.

Is there localized heat on the floorboards or general heat? Missing any thermal padding?
