This started last week on my 2003 V8 Limited. I noticed a weird smell coming from my left rear tire. Smelled like when I use an angle grinder to sharpen mower blades. The wheel was warm to the touch. I took it to a garage and the mechanic said the the lift that I just intsalled (Toytec 3" Ultimate) caused the e-brake to tighten up and partially engage. He gave the cable some slack and said that should fix it. When I got home that evening the wheel was hotter than the first time I noticed it. Back to the mechanic and he backed up the cable to where it barely engaged when the parking brake is applied. The wheel is still warm but not as bad as before. The mechanic also took apart the caliper and he said everything looked normal. Tonight when I got home I noticed a squeal coming from that wheel when I crept into the garage. Any ideas on what is going on?
