How accurate is the reading at AutoZone???

I got my codes ran and the two following DTC Codes came up reading circuit malfunction:

P0100
MAF or VAF

P0110
IAT Sensor

The reason I went there is because my mpg still hasn't improved after all the work I've done to it. I am getting on average of 14 mpg and that is doing about 60% highway /40% city

Should I replace both of these? Would I see a major improvement in my mpg if I did?


BTW here is the work I've done so far:

-Coolant Flush
-Front & rear differential Flush
-Replace the PCV valve
-Cleaned the throttle body and the MAF sensor with air intake cleaner and MAF cleaner
-Changed the air, oil, and fuel filters
-Brake fluid flush
-Used the BG44K Emission cleaner set
-Timing Belt/ Water Pump
-Crank/Cam Shaft Seals
-Replaced Spark Plugs/Wires (NGK)
-Replaced the three belts I'm not sure what they all go to

Do some diag on those codes. Dont just start throwing parts at something hoping it will fix it. Autozone parts guys shouldnt be allowed to give you a diagnosis on a problem. Most of them couldnt tell the difference between a spark plug and a butt plug

I beleive your code is due to a bad A/F sensor

AF Sensor? I'll look into that. Nice rig the BF's look great on it I'm wanting to get some of those myself

Thanks! Yes. the code is attributed to air/fuel metering. Get a denso sensor from denso or the dealer. The parts store might give you a O2 sensor instead of a A/F sensor. Alot of them do and not know it. They are not compatable
