This article is probably one of our longer ones but it goes a long way to explain what is going on with the Toyota OCS and where issues can come up with your seat and not only when upgrading it to aftermarket. For example: there are plenty of accessory manufacturers that develop seat back mounting systems or headrest post mounting systems. But what EVERY one of these companies fail to do is mention that adding weight to your seat (OEM or aftermarket) means you need to do a zero point calibration on the seat or else every pound added to the seat back only confuses the OCS in determining the proper force to inflate the airbag and retract the seatbelt.
